Isolation – Mind Field (Ep 1)

What happens when your brain is deprived of stimulation? What effect does being cut off from interaction with the outside world have on a person? What effect does it have on me, when I am locked in a windowless, soundproof isolation chamber for three days? In this episode of Mind Field, I take both an objective and a very intimate look at Isolation.

  1. The fact that he knows that someone is listening is not putting yourself fully in solitary confinement. In my opinion having done it allot. With a developing brain and an adult brain.

  2. Why didn't he just grab a couple of bottles putted on the floor grabbed the toilet paper and strijef them hell outta the bottles i would do it for three days easy peasy

  3. There’s so many comments I want to leave on other episodes but the comments are all turned off :[ This is upsetting that I can’t shout at the void in context and order!

  4. I wish they would’ve hid the cameras and not shown him what the angles were. Yes the video wouldn’t have been as clear when he was talking to us but it also wouldn’t give him any point of focus. The only issue is that being in the industry he probably could’ve figured out likely camera placements still, but that level of doubt might’ve been interesting to see. Maybe I’m just mean though.

  5. “I think I’m going to write a random comment in quotation marks now to feel cool in a nerdy way.”

  6. Why have I only just discovered this amazing channel?! This kind of content is fucking brilliant. I subbed after just 2 minutes of viewing.

  7. This is where it is great being able to just zone out, or just having to many things to think about. I could make an entire story.

  8. I think this experience alone changed michael from the semi-serious science/math YouTuber we used to know him as, into the sometimes frighteningly awkward and comedic genius we know him as today

  9. The fact that he could open the door meant that he could leave at any moment he chose. That means that there was something worse than isolation preventing him from leaving.

  10. There were flaws in this experiment…
The subject should not to be known that they are under investigation and on experiment and they also have to keep in mind that there is no camera at all…then i think it might be a good experiment just like the first one in video…
